This photo was taken very shortly after the finishing of this floor. It needs some time to mature and settle out in colour. It will look far better in 12 months time when the colour has equalized a little.

The desired effect of herringbone pattern, light and dark alternate rows will improve with age and settlement of the the colours due to changes brought about by ulta-violet light and oxidisation.

As a new floor it is confused by the variation in colour between one batten and the next.

Observe the detail of the cutting in, the mitres in the borders striking directly to the corner and the smoothness of the satin finish. This uncommon quality of workmanship is our standard.

If the herringbone were to be carried through where the border now lies it would meet and continue without needing adjustment.

The depth of colour does depend upon where you are stood and from what direction the light is being shed.
